The dress Claire is wearing was made in 1883 by her 4 Great-Grandmother, Lillian Elizabeth McIntosh McBride. She originally made it for Marie McBride, daughter of Elizabeth. It was worn by every one of her children, and their children. And it has been worn by many more children and grandchildren. Eric's father was blessed in this dress, as well as Eric and all of his siblings. It is hard to believe that close to two years ago, Ericka was blessed in this dress also.
It is kind of neat that we get to bless our children in this dress that has been around for so long.
Look at that little face. Claire is growing so stinking fast! I can't even believe how quickly the time is passing. It seems to be even faster now than when we just had Ericka...what a sad realization.
It's hard to get a very good family picture. At least one where everyone is smiling, or at least not crying. We'll take what we can get.
Claire was blessed October 12th. Like most blessings, it was amazing! It was a great Sunday and I was happy to ponder on the many blessings I have been given. I am so very grateful for the wonderful family I was born into, the family I married into, and the family Eric and I have/are creating. I can not even express how very much I love all my family members! It was so nice to have Claire blessed recently and to reflect on my many blessings!

Your little family is so stinky cute. Ericka cracks me up and Claire is beautiful. How is Erics foot? Poor guy. Hopefully it will heal quickly. You look beautiful. Too bad we couldn't hang out longer while we were there but time and weather wasn't on our side. Maybe we'll see you soon. That would be fun. Love you guys.
